Armstrong World Industries (AWI) has a job opportunity for a Production Team Manager to be located in Marietta, PA. The Production Team Manager will be responsible for the effective management and overall performance of production activities at the plant in the areas of safety, quality, process effectiveness, financial performance, customer service and organizational development.  Additionally, the Production Team Manager will be responsible for leading their crew in achieving process, line and plant performance manufacturing goals through technical and operating improvements.


Key Responsibilities of the Production Team Manager:

  • Displaying a commitment to all parts of the AWI Safety System and keeping the team 100% compliant in all required safety training
  • Executing the Accident and Environmental Reporting Procedure as needed
  • Notifying appropriate management personnel regarding any incidents and accidents
  • Ensuring all material shipped to customers meet quality specifications and holding the crew accountable for making quality products
  • Ensuring process checks, board inspections and whiteboard and manufacturing system entries are being completed. Follow-up on scrap RCFA's (root cause failure analysis) and quality hold events to ensure they are complete
  • Managing crew training and ensure cross training and skill depth of associates
  • Maintaining application documentation and process topology to ensure alignment between the business strategies and the technology roadmap



Required Qualifications for the Production Team Manager:

  • High School Diploma 
  • Excellent communications skills (both oral and written)
  • Proven capability to organize and implement change
  • Prior experience in a manufacturing field
  • Prior supervisory experience



Desired Qualifications for the Production Team Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in technical field
  • Prioir supervisory experience
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing/Six Sigma methodologies, SPC, manufacturing and maintenance systems, organizational development and human resources initiatives.
