Armstrong World Industries (AWI) has a job opportunity for a Treasury and Risk Manager to be located in Lancaster, PA. The Treasury Manager is responsible for all Treasury and Insurance Risk Management functions. Additionally, the Treasury and Risk Manager will contribute to a broad spectrum of key Treasury and Risk management responsibilities including cash forecasting, hedging, insurance risk management and supervision of a third-party pension investment advisor.  

Key Responsibilities of the Treasury and Risk Manager:

  • Developing department KPIs, provide quarterly reporting and analysis to management
  • Preparing and/or assisting with preparation of cash flow forecasts
  • Working closely with Treasurer in managing the debt portfolio, share repurchases, dividends, mergers and acquisitions, and other capital allocation decisions and execution
  • Evaluating, developing and implementing process improvements to optimize Treasury operations
  • Preparing relevant Treasury footnotes and disclosures for SEC filings
  • Reviewing bank account and bank services documentation to optimize bank structure and reduce bank fees
  • Managing foreign exchange hedging, commodities and interest rate hedging programs
  • Assisting with ad hoc requests for pension program management
  • Leading process with insurance brokers in designing, negotiating, placing and managing all non-medical lines of insurance (property, workers’ compensation, auto liability, general liability, cyber security, and executive lines of insurance)
  • Overseeing and coordinating the insurance budget and forecasting process
  • Coordinating and participating in property loss control and risk control activities including proposing solutions and/or resolutions to loss control recommendations
  • Providing counsel to business partners on insurance requirements in contracts as well as risks associated with new business processes, mergers and acquisitions
  • Leading RFP process to evaluate insurance brokers across all lines of insurance


Required Qualifications for the Treasury and Risk Manager:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Finance, Insurance/Risk Management or a related subject
  • 5+ years of Treasury, Finance, or Insurance Risk Management experience
  • Demonstrated leadership and process improvement skills and experience
  • Strong understanding of Treasury and risk management processes and practices
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with colleagues, senior level management, and outside advisors
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to handle and prioritize multiple tasks/deadlines within a fast-paced environment
  • Ability to work in both team and independent environments

Desired Qualifications for the Treasury and Risk Manager:

  • 3+ years of management experience
  • ARM, CRM and/or CPCU certification
