Job Description :

Armstrong World Industries (AWI) has a job opportunity for a Full Line Sales Executive to cover the Portland, Oregon, Eastern Washington, Northern Idaho, and Western Montana markets. The Full Line Sales Executive will interact with architects, distributors, contractors, owners, and facility managers to influence the specification and purchase of AWI commercial ceiling systems. The Full Line Sales Executive will be responsible for meeting or exceeding sales budget with regard to price, volume, and mix, as well as interacting and partnering with other AWI sales representatives to drive improved business results.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Full Line Sales Executive:

  • Building strong relationships with architects, owners, facility managers, contractors, and distributors in order to influence the specification and purchase of AWI commercial ceilings, grid, and wall systems
  • Assisting architects and designers in writing specifications for AWI products with an emphasis on gaining competitive advantage
  • Specifying, tracking, and closing jobs within the assigned territory by creating value and providing each AWI customer with a competitive advantage
  • Achieving territory goals in sales volume, mix, new products, and pricing
  • Growing the business through increasing and maintaining market share
  • Improving continuously by focusing on overall sales effectiveness, a key metric in AWI’s formal sales career progression process
  • Traveling in Portland, OR and surrounding areas.

 

Required Qualifications for the Full Lines Sales Executive:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • 3+ years of commercial building product sales experience
  • Demonstrated experience and success in architectural selling
  • Working knowledge and experience with construction, contracting, distribution, and specification sales, and knowledge of market segments, customers, and distribution channel
  • Team player and leader: demonstrated success in achieving personal objectives while serving as an effective role model for accomplishing team goals
  • Proficiency with computer software such as Salesforce, AutoCAD, and Microsoft Windows applications, specifically Outlook and Excel
  • Demonstrated ability and experience effectively managing multiple relationships and priorities
  • Demonstrated ability and experience in effective short and long-term planning

 

Desired Qualifications for the Full Lines Sales Executive:

  • Prior interior finishing product sales experience
