Armstrong World Industries, Inc. has a job opportunity for a Commercial Sales Training Specialist to be located in Lancaster, PA. The Commercial Sales Training Specialist will be responsible for developing and executing learning content with sales employees that drive sales efficiency & effectiveness around the utilization & implementation of technology. Additionally, the Commercial Sales Training Specialist with be responsible for collaborating with the sales team to identify best practices that we share and integrate with entire sales organization.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Commercial Sales Training Specialist:

  • Providing consultation to internal and external customers on best practice utilization of technology tools; internal customers include field sales, CFC, TechLine, NPD & Technology
  • Planning, preparation and presentation/implementation of introductory and advanced training on technology resources & sales tools; such as Sales Force, Showpad, QStream and LearnUpon (learning mgmt. system – LMS)
  • Utilizing & managing QStream to support continuous learning with field sales teams; in the areas of new product launches, sales techniques/approaches, how to handle objections, etc.
  • Supporting in-house development and creation of relevant content on “how to” best use Armstrong sales tools (Showpad, mobile phone, computer, etc) & sales materials with customers
  • Improving, implementing and measuring training effectiveness thru assessment and retention metrics
  • Supporting customer training with all technology tools & relevant learning content
  • Co-managing – with Corporate Staffing -- recruiting and interviewing of new sales hires
  • Creating and developing multimedia (audio/video) content for product knowledge, solution selling, best practices selling stories and cases
  • Developing E-Learning personal learning modules for Armstrong reps, distributors and contractors that can be easily accessed thru LearnUpon.
  • Integrating with Installation School, Marketing, Technology, IT and CFC resources into cohesive training process
  • Scripting, storyboarding, budgeting, allocating resources, setting deadlines and selecting optimal forms of media for projects
  • Working independently, as well as part of a team to establish project deliverables
  • Managing video library/archive on company website and within Learning Management System (LMS)
  • Maintaining compliance processes: Safety, opportunity management, project tracking & specifications, continuous learning, pricing, claims and Armstrong Code of Conduct

 

Required Qualifications for the Commercial Sales Training Specialist:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or professional technical certification in distance business training & learning technology
  • 2+ years consultative field sales experience
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint & Access
  • Detail oriented and able to multi-task and manage priorities
  • Exception written communication skills

 

Desired Qualifications for the Commercial Sales Training Specialist:

  • Working knowledge or experience in construction industry
