Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (AWI) has a job opportunity for a Manufacturing Production Line Supervisor to be located in Newark, OH. The Manufacturing Production Line Supervisor will be responsible for the day to day planning and operations of the secondary production operations, which includes directing and supervising employees in the painting, crating, bundling, and wrapping operations. Additionally, the Manufacturing Production Line Supervisor will be responsible for maintaining the accessory department as well as providing backup support and/or assistance to the Warehouse Coordinator as needed.


Key Responsibilities of the Manufacturing Production Line Supervisor:

  • Determining the assignments of employees to run operations to meet customers’ needs
  • Painting operations of Tectum materials
  • Bundling/wrapping operations of all Tectum ceiling panels
  • Managing the daily painting and bundling schedule based on product availability and customer requirements and coordinating activities with the General Supervisor and Production & Warehouse Supervisor
  • Developing a daily schedule based on product availability and customer requirements
  • Advising maintenance of any problems with equipment affecting production, secondary production operations, and fabrication issues
  • Complying with all company policies, instructions, and directives necessary to accomplish all company objectives
  • Leading, attending and participating in company sponsored meetings and training sessions as needed.
  • Maintaining the hourly overtime process/schedule
  • Managing the Secondary Fabrication Operations such as Clouds, Designers, and Finale products.


Required Qualifications for the Manufacturing Production Line Supervisor:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • 3+ years’ experience in Manufacturing Supervision
  • Ability to lead a team to execute daily tasks
  • Ability to drive company safety culture and process improvement


Desired Qualifications for the Manufacturing Production Line Supervisor:

  • 3+ years’ experience with shipping operations

About the Location (Newark, OH)

Our Tectum manufacturing plant, one of seven Armstrong ceiling plants in North America, employs approximately 100 people across 2 shifts who are involved in the manufacturing and shipping of our Tectum product.   With over 60 years of innovation and experience in reducing noise worldwide, our Tectum plant has the right product for your noise problem.
