Armstrong Ceilings is currently on the lookout a Maintenance Supervisor to join our Facilities & Plant Maintenance department in Pensacola, FL. The Maintenance Supervisor will report to the Maintenance Manager and is accountable for leading and managing the effective day-to-day activities of up to 15 multi-craft maintenance employees and contractors.

 

In addition, the Maintenance Supervisor will be responsible for performance management and daily excellence activities, team and employee development, change management, business leadership, and future system implementations. Key performance measures of the Maintenance Supervisor include safety, housekeeping, maintenance costs, work order completion, mechanical-related downtime, scrap, and throughput.

 

Note: Relocation assistance is available to the Pensacola area for this position.

 

Responsibilities of the Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Support the achievement of operational performance objectives by leading an effective and efficient maintenance function
  • Increase plant reliability through effective application of maintenance systems and processes
  • Drive results through leading process improvement activities and application of maintenance and engineering best practices and fundamentals
  • Develop and lead application of precision, predictive, and preventive Maintenance concepts within maintenance systems
  • Increase effectiveness and productivity of maintenance craftsman
  • Utilize understanding of maintenance budgeting process to provide performance data
  • Apply Root Cause Failure Analysis (RCFA) to ensure proper solutions to maintenance issues are implemented

 

Required Qualifications and Education of the Maintenance Supervisor:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3+ years of maintenance supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment                
  • Demonstrated ability to lead teams and improvement projects
  • 2+ years of experience with preventive and predictive maintenance technology

 

Preferred Qualifications of the Maintenance Supervisor:

  • Technical degree or previous production management experience

Our Pensacola Plant, one of six Armstrong ceiling plants, employs approximately 280 people working on rotating shifts, 24/7, in the manufacture and shipment of acoustical ceiling tile to Armstrong's customers worldwide.
