Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (AWI) est à la recherche d’un directeur ou d’une directrice des ressources humaines (RH) pour son usine de Montréal. Le directeur ou la directrice des RH de l’usine devra diriger et mener les activités et programmes en lien avec les ressources humaines, veiller à l’alignement des initiatives en matière de RH et des objectifs de l’usine et de l’entreprise, bâtir et maintenir des relations efficaces avec la main-d'œuvre et engager les employés et la direction de l'usine à prendre part à des activités d’aménagement organisationnel qui favorisent et soutiennent une culture de travail à haut rendement.

 

Responsabilités clés du directeur ou de la directrice des RH de l'usine :

  • Diriger et mener des activités de RH pour appuyer la réalisation de mesures de rendement de l’usine dans les domaines de la sécurité, la qualité, la livraison, les coûts et les gens
  • Assurer l'exécution des initiatives et processus de RH clés dans le but de favoriser l'amélioration continue dans les domaines de l'efficacité organisationnelle, la dotation en personnel, les relations avec les employés, la gestion du rendement, la formation et le perfectionnement, les avantages sociaux, les pratiques en matière d'emploi et de conformité
  • Fournir du leadership dans la sélection, l'embauche, l'orientation, le développement, la formation et la progression de tous les employés de l'usine
  • Participer au processus d'embauche des salariés et du personnel de production
  • Diriger la planification de la succession de l’usine, la gestion du roulement de personnel, la gestion du rendement et les processus de formation et de perfectionnement
  • Fournir les formations et communications nécessaires pour appuyer les initiatives de l’usine et de l'entreprise
  • S’impliquer activement dans les relations avec les employés, tant au niveau du personnel que de la production
  • Soutenir les efforts en matière de changements organisationnels et d’amélioration continue (par ex. le Lean Management) et collaborer avec l’équipe de leadership de l’usine pour assurer l’emploi d’approches de gestion du changement adéquates par une analyse et une planification efficaces, la communication des initiatives de changement, le soutien actif et entier des initiatives de leadership et l’implication des employés
  • Fournir des conseils et du coaching à tous les employés et gestionnaires sur un large éventail de questions et travailler de manière étroite avec les ressources juridiques et de l’entreprise
  • Effectuer le suivi et analyser les mesures des RH pour déterminer les causes
  • Mener des enquêtes et gérer les demandes relatives aux dossiers CNESST
  • Assurer le mentorat et le perfectionnement des employés et gestionnaires dans un but de développement continu et d’excellence fonctionnelle

 

Qualifications requises pour exercer le poste de directeur ou directrice des RH de l’usine :

  • Diplôme universitaire ou expérience équivalente
  • Cinq ans d’expérience ou plus dans la gestion des RH dans une entreprise de fabrication
  • Bilingue, français et anglais, à l’oral et à l’écrit
  • Faire preuve d’un sens aigu des affaires
  • Excellentes capacités en matière d’influence, de coaching et de développement de relations (à tous les niveaux de l'organisation); capacités à défier les dirigeants de l’organisation
  • Expérience en aménagement organisationnel
  • Excellentes aptitudes en communication orale et écrite
  • Compétences en gestion de projet
  • Expérience en relations de travail et avec les employés
  • Expérience en perfectionnement de superviseurs

Armstrong World Industries, Inc. (AWI) has a job opportunity for a Plant Human Resources (HR) Manager to be located in Montreal. The Plant HR Manager will direct and lead human resource activities and programs, ensure alignment of HR initiatives with plant and corporate objectives, build and maintain effective relationships with the workforce, and engage employees and plant management in organization design activities that foster and sustain a high-performance work culture.

 

Key Responsibilities of the Plant HR Manager:

  • Leading and directing plant HR activities to support the achievement of plant performance metrics in the areas of Safety, Quality, Delivery, Cost & People
  • Ensuring the execution of key plant HR initiatives and processes to drive continuous improvement in the areas of organization effectiveness, staffing, employee relations, performance management, training and development, benefits, employment practices and compliance
  • Providing leadership in selection, hiring, orientation, development, training, and progression of all plant employees
  • Participating in salaried and production hiring process
  • Leading plant Succession Planning, Turnover Management, Performance Management, and Training & Development processes
  • Delivering required training and communication in support of plant and corporate initiatives
  • Actively engaging in employee relations, both at the staff and production level
  • Supporting organization change and continuous improvement efforts (such as Lean) and collaborate with plant leadership to ensure successful change management approaches through effective planning and analysis, communication of change initiatives, full and active leadership support and employee involvement
  • Providing counsel and coaching to all employees and managers on a wide range of issues and work directly with Corporate and legal resources
  • Tracking and analyzing plant HR metrics to determine root cause
  • Conducting investigations and manages claims for CNESST files
  • Mentoring and developing employees and managers to ensure ongoing development and functional excellence

 

Required Qualifications for the Plant HR Manager:

  • University degree or commensurate experience
  • 5+ years of experience in HR management role in a manufacturing organization
  • Bilingual French and English written and spoken
  • Evidence of business acumen
  • Excellent influencing / coaching / relationship builder skills (at all levels in the organization); experience in appropriately challenging leaders in the organization
  • Experience in organization design
  • Excellent communication skills – written and verbal
  • Project management skills
  • Experience in labor/employee relations
  • Experience in supervisor development

Our Montreal Plant, one of six Armstrong ceiling plants, employs 36 people designing, developing and manufacturing specialty metal ceiling and wall systems for a wide range of market segments and applications.
